Description

Marouane and Abdou, two passionate Moroccan Berber chefs, are dedicated to sharing the rich traditions of Moroccan cuisine and culture. They will host you in Marrakech at the Riad Black Doors workshop, located in the heart of the Medina. Here, you’ll experience traditional Moroccan cooking in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. With expertise in Moroccan cuisine and pastry, Marouane and Abdou have worked with renowned hotels and restaurants both in Morocco and abroad. They will guide you through a hands-on cooking class, helping you gain a deeper understanding of Moroccan culinary techniques. Your experience begins with a visit to a local food market (souq), ( this step is not included on Ramadan Or Friday ) , away from the tourist areas of Marrakech. After discussing any food allergies or dietary restrictions, you’ll stroll through the vibrant souk, purchasing fresh ingredients amidst stalls brimming with spices and local specialities. Back at the riad, you’ll be greeted with traditional mint tea and learn about its preparation before diving into the cooking session. The menu will feature classic Moroccan dishes, including starters, a main course, and a dessert. The class is designed to be interactive and collaborative, involving everyone in the cooking process and revealing the secrets of Moroccan cuisine and spices. While group sessions are available, private sessions can be arranged upon request. You’re welcome to join individually or as part of a group. After cooking, you’ll have the chance to savor the delicious meal you’ve prepared.
