Day 1: Fez to Merzouga Our 3-day desert tour from Fez to Marrakech begins with a morning departure from Fez. We'll embark on a scenic drive through the captivating landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing by charming towns and picturesque valleys. Along the way, we'll make stops at Ifrane, known as 'Little Switzerland,' and Azrou, where we can interact with friendly Barbary macaque monkeys. Continuing our journey, we'll venture through the Ziz Valley, with its lush palm groves and impressive gorges. By afternoon, we'll reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. We'll meet our camel caravan and embark on an unforgettable camel trek into the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, we'll arrive at our desert camp, where we'll indulge in a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night under the starlit sky. Day 2: Merzouga to Ouarzazate We'll wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the Sahara Desert before returning to Merzouga on our camels. After breakfast, we'll depart for Ouarzazate, a city known for its captivating beauty and famous film studios.
